Juicer Pulp DIY Chips and Dip

Sometimes, healthy isn't pretty. If you can look past the grey and brown tones and pretty, unappealing appearance of the following recipes, your tastebuds will be delighted and your body will be so glad you did.

Juicer Pulp Chips / Crackers
2     Cups Juicer Pulp
1/2  Cup Chia or Flax Seeds
1/2  Cup Water
       Seasoning to taste




Steps:


  • To start, pre-heat your oven to 180c
  • In a large bowl, place in your juicer pulp. As I've mentioned in my previous Juicer Pulp Recipe, your pulp can be frozen and defrosted as needed for recipes like this
  • To this, add your 1/2 cups of seeds. These will absorb the moisture and and bind the mixture together
  • To add more moisture, mix in 1/2 cup water
  • Let this sit for 15 mins
  • In the meantime, line a baking tray
  • When your mix is ready, thinly spread this across your tray and bake for around 30 mins
  • At this point, remove the flat baked mixture and turn it upside down on the tray
  • Peel off the paper and cut into bite size pieces. Bake for another 20-30 minutes until this side has dried out also and you have a more cracker like texture, rather than a spongey bread
  • Allow to cool before eating as it will crisp up a little more as it cools
Juicer Pulp Guacamole
2       Avocados
1 1/2 Cups Juicer Pulp
1/2    Lemon (Juice of)
1/4    Red Onion, Diced

There really are no skills required here for this one. Simply mash your ripe avocados with a fork and mix through the other ingredients to create a quick and healthy dip!
